University, your first job or European opportunities
Deciding what to do after secondary school raises new questions. Which degree matches your interests? What skills do employers need? What opportunities are there to learn and gain experience in Europe?
NEXT connects education, careers, European programmes and technology. Its programme concept includes UNI, EU, BUSINESS, STEM and PANEL zones, plus a sponsor and partner zone. Choose the topics that interest you and prepare questions for conversations.
If you are considering university
Explore what a course involves, what student life is like and where a degree can lead. Ask what could help you prepare for the subject that interests you.
If you are exploring your first job
Think about what you want to learn and the kind of workplace that might suit you. Prepare questions about skills, first steps and opportunities to develop in a profession.
If Europe and technology interest you
Explore European programmes for young people and STEM topics. Ask how to take part, who an opportunity is intended for and where to find the official eligibility requirements.
Three questions to bring
- What is an ordinary day like for someone studying or working in this field?
- What can I do now to find out whether this direction would suit me?
- Where can I find reliable information about entry requirements or applications?
Write down useful answers and contacts. After the visit, compare your options and decide what to explore next.
